Jody Bergstrom
Chief Executive Officer
Jody Bergstrom, the Founder and CEO of Camp Alliance, Inc., has dedicated her life to serving and uplifting Service Members, Veterans, and their families (SMVF). Since founding the nonprofit in 2010, Jody has demonstrated visionary leadership guided by the core values of compassion, empowerment, education, and collaboration. Her strategic expertise, honed through years of entrepreneurship and corporate experience, has been instrumental in building Camp Alliance into a powerful advocate for those who have sacrificed for our nation. Jody’s deep commitment to the military community is not just professional but also personal. As a mother of two, Morgan (22) and Samantha (20), and part of an Army Reserve family, she navigated the challenges of military life, including eight deployments and mobilizations over 18 years of marriage. This firsthand experience fuels her passion to serve those who wear the uniform and their families. Her leadership and service have earned her numerous awards, and she holds key roles on several boards and councils, including the Arkansas State Council for Military Children, the Northwest Arkansas Veterans Coalition, and the Governor’s Challenge team for Mental Health, Awareness, and Suicide Prevention. Jody’s dedication continues to shape the lives of countless SMVFs through her unwavering commitment to their well-being.

Michael Springer
From Addiction to Service Michael Springer brings unwavering dedication and leadership to his role as the Lead Veteran Peer Support Specialist for Called2Duty, a program dedicated to combating the opioid crisis among veterans. A combat veteran himself, Michael draws from personal experiences with addiction and homelessness, having battled methamphetamine addiction for 16 ½ years. Now 6 years into recovery, he has turned his journey into a mission of service. Through his role, Michael leads with compassion, guiding veterans and their families toward recovery and resilience. His involvement extends beyond Called2Duty, as he also serves as an overdose responder in Lonoke County and a veteran suicide responder for We Are the 22, a suicide prevention organization where he sits as President of the board of directors. Michael's leadership is further demonstrated by his previous service within the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Arkansas and his active role in improving mental health services for veterans. Committed to offering the same hope and support that helped him, Michael continues to mentor others, visiting prisons and speaking at recovery programs. His work is a testament to his passion for uplifting veterans and guiding them on their path to freedom from addiction.

Laura Hopkins
Laura is the CMCO at Camp Alliance Inc., where she has dedicated over 11 years to serving and uplifting Service Members, Veterans, and their families (SMVF). With a rich background in photography, graphic design, and visual storytelling, Laura brings creativity and strategic vision to initiatives that address mental health, substance use awareness, and community engagement. As the driving force behind the most recent campaign Called2Duty Power-N-Purpose, Laura excels in crafting compelling narratives and data-driven strategies to foster unity and resilience. Her professional expertise spans content development, marketing strategy, event coordination, and advocacy. Outside of work, Laura is a proud mom to three daughters, ages 13, 10, and 9, who share her love for art and creativity. Together, they enjoy painting, crafting, and building intricate Lego sets. Laura’s passion for art, family, and community drives her mission to create meaningful change through both her professional and personal endeavors.

Justin Works
Justin is a former cavalry scout who proudly served in the military for 11 years, completing three tours in Iraq. After being medically retired, Justin faced the difficult challenge of losing his sense of purpose and fell into addiction. However, with resilience and determination, he has now been in recovery for 8 years. Driven by a desire to give back, Justin has spent the last 2 years working as a peer specialist, supporting individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. His personal experiences provide him with a deep understanding of the challenges others face, and he is dedicated to being the person he once needed at his lowest point. Justin's mission is to offer hope and show others that recovery is possible, no matter how difficult the journey may seem.
